Hello all I am new here and we purchased a 2008 four winns h240 this past simmer. It would so be in dry storage right now if there were one available. That being said we are beyond neurotic about keeping it clean. My husband works out of town and it now falls to me to keep it free of leaves , acorns and now rain💩 the top is on correctly and tight fitting but will pool on one side of the back pole and cause it to drop and fill even further. I am having to get into the boat after every rain we have with a shop vac and suck the water off the top and what’s seeped into the boat. What do you recommend I do to help me help myself until the husband back in town from traveling with work. I want a good fix for this. The wait list is a mile long for dry storage as everyone decided to buy a boat during covid around here. Go figure. Thanks for any and alll help!

A longer pole might give you some relief. Or possibly putting something under the pole you have now to raise it 4"-6"?

boat covers should be re-sprayed every 6-12 months with water proofing

the pooling may require a second or even a third pole

Prop the cover up with whatever is the right size.
Doesn't have to be a pole.

Laundry basket, trash can, 2 or 3 step ladder or step stool.

I had to use a second pole to prevent water pooling on my Four Winns 214 deckboat cover. I placed it on the bench seat 2-3 feet aft of the main pole right on the centerline of the cover. If you choose to do this, place a folded towel under the bottom of the pole to keep it from marking up the bench seat upholstery.

If you can’t get it into dry storage, getting it wrapped will keep the water out of the boat over the winter.
