formula 25 pc

My grandfather has a formula 25 pc which has been sitting un used on a lift at the end of the dock. So i was talking with him one day about trying to fix it up. so he said as long as you keep it up and working i'll get it fixed. oh here is sa more imformation about the boat. its a 1987 bought new. it has a 260 hp io v8 mercruiser. so what kind of problems should i expect. please help

first when was the last time it was started? the last service on the outdrive, lube gimbal bearing, alighnment, bellows. last impeller, what condition are the exhaust manifolds,risers, and y pipe. there is a lot more maintainance with the i/o than your little outboard. i have to give you credit, your optimistic, and eager. i don't think you will let anything stand in your way. good luck. remember, you need to get your state boating certificate to be able to operate that boat. you can get if for free, if you order the book from the state, read it and take the test , and mail it in.

When i got my jon boat I bought this card my dad told me to, that way i cold operate larger boats. The boat was about 2 years ago.

great glad to here you have it. start reading the mercruiser, i/o forum. you can learn a lot there.
