Ford 351 bogs when putting the hammer down

A friend of mine has a master craft with the ford 351 in it. When he takes off hard it first bogs and then gets up and goes.

any ideas about what the problem is or where and what to look for?

Ayuh,.... Sounds like the accelerator pump in the carb is lackin',....

Thanks Bondo. That is what I was thinking might be the problem too. I just wanted to get some confirmation to my thinking
