Force vs Tohatsu

I have a 50hp Force and 40hp Tohatsu both are 1987. They have both been on the same boat, 12 1/2ft tunnel hull, mounted same height and same dolfin. Both have been decarbed and new plugs. Both have same dia and pitch of prop. The RPMS are about the same. The Tohatsu pushes the boat at 37mph and the Force pushes it at 31mph. Duh!!!!Am I not Jedi has the Force left me....any suggestions.

If it hasn't yet, it will! Run the Tohatsu and have peace of mind. Good Motors and VERY reliable.

The Force engine probebly does not provide as much lift as the Tohatsu. Therefore causing more drag from the boat.<br /><br />TMD
