I have I believe a 96 Force 50 hp motor, Tilt, Trim not powering up or down, Relays have been checked and I don't think that is the problem. When it first started it was intermittent and would work part of the time and would tend to work more in the up mode than down.

unplug motor leads where they connect ionto wiring harness. route back out of cowl and hotwire to lawnmower or other 12v battery. if problem persists then you need a new trim motor. chinese motors are good but their lack of materials and experience shows. the brush cards tend to be plastic and warp if they overheat and the through bolts tend to be steel instead of stainless. The US motors are better built but due to large price discrepency the durability and reliability of the US motors may not be worth the cheapability of the chinese.

Where would I get a chinese motor if in fact I need one. Also the unit has been in the back of my truck and it has lost maybe the pilot check assembly out, at least that is what I think it is from looking at the diagram, where is the best place to purchase this part, or can it be purchased.
