You should not need that ring. It is a plastic piece that clips over the OUTSIDE of the hub to adapt the propeller to larger gearcases. You can probably simply throw it away.
you think i do no need put back
is a force 120 hp
because i broke 2 prop. hub this week because had shift cable and neutral switch problem
just bought a in ebay 13 x 15
i have a saved 13 1/2 x 23 i think too bigger
not know if I can use or not thank frank
No, you should not need to put the ring back--I don't know why it was put inside the prop in the first place.
Depending upon the size of your boat, the 13 1/2 X 15 may or may not keep the engine in the correct RPM range. HOWEVER it is almost a certainty the the 13 1/2 X 23 will be too big for your engine unless your boat is a very small racer type.
WOW! That is a nice Bayliner. Did it come equipped with a tachometer? You want the engine running in the range of 4500-5500 RPM at full throttle. I suspect that the 15 pitch prop will let the engine over-rev a bit. A 13 X 17 would probably be more correct, and depending upon how well the boat performs, a 13 X 19 is not out of the question.
If you have other Force owners near you see what they are running and try to do a deal with a person or marina to test a prop before buying.
That converging ring is only used on OMC engines. Your Force does not need it. In fact, if you are buying Force propellers, there will be no provision for attaching a ring. Most have a simple flare.
The last photo shows a Vortex prop with ring attached. However, this is factory installed and I don't think you can buy one separately.
It is POSSIBLE but not very good to run without the exhaust snout. Apparently (from what I read in another post) running without the exhaust snout does not cause major problems at high speeds but it does foul the prop at hole shot (Acceleration from a dead stop.) 22 pitch will be far too much prop for that engine and boat combination though.
However, if you search my posts here on the prop forum you will find simple modifications I did to the lower unit to allw me to use a Ballistic prop that hit the snout, and still use the snout.
