Been thinking of buying a boat with a 125 force motor...rums great shifts great...but heard horrors finding parts for the force motors. And to shy away from them? True or false...what would you do? Lol

Depends upon a whole lot of variables: Is the price right? Are you willing to do maintenance and repair work yourself? Are you willing to spend a little time looking for parts? some are out there but not easy to find. You need to do some research.

Force engines are simple abd as reliable as the other brands--they have an undeserved bad reputation.

I think its worth it...boat is a 19' bayliner fully restored minus the tilt trim doesnt work well...will go up but have to release the oil to get it back down...other then that boat is flawless for 1200

I would definitely never buy one again. Parts are scarce and getting harder to find. Nobody will work on them if you ever have an issue, so you better learn to do it yourself. I have only had one other motor than force, a yamaha that is beat to hell, but it starts and runs reliably every time. Force is nothing but problems.
