I have a Force by Mercury 75 HP ELPT, 1998 motor that I am looking for a used lower unit for. I do not have the shaft and do not know what size shaft I would need with this unit. How can I tell what size shaft I need for the lower unit for this motor? I have been told that it can be tricky and easy to get the wrong size and that the best way would be to look at the original unit which I can't do.
I would like to be able to get one on line but want to make sure I am ordering the correct one the first time to save on shipping. Any help would be appreciated. The serial number for the motor is OE334059.
