Force L Drive Lower unit stuck on!!!

This is really doing my head in! Since I got the boat last June I have been trying to change the water pump but the lower unit is frozen on. Pump works fine at present but one day it will fail of course - doh! <br /><br />I have removed all the bolts, including the 'hidden' one in the trim tab housing but the lower unit is stuck, just rocks slightly. I can only assume that the splines are frozen, any help / advice you can give would be appreciated.

did you disconnect the shifter in you did try a rubber maliton the lower unit good luck

had same problem get ypurself some rust penatrator spray it for several days then that will help but what finally got ours off we hooked a chain around the lower unit hooked it to a sturdy tree hooked the trailer to our truck and pulled after 2 pulls it came off
