Hi:
I have a mid 90s 90HP Force O/B and I need a set of controls. Must it be Force controls or can I use Mercury or Chrysler. Thanks Bobby...

Re: Force controls

What kind of Boat, on Bayliners, they came with Teleflex/Morse controls, with a seperate key switch/choke control, on the dash, anyways one could make any control box work with universal cables & adapters.... but it would cost some $$$$

Re: Force controls

Hi,
I have a Quicksilver control unit operating a 40hp Force outboard. Is there someway I can get an e-mailed drawing of the interior of the unit. I think I have something hooked up incorrectly. The lift throttle does not engage to cable and the shift lever travels too far before operation kicks in.
Thank you

Re: Force controls

Welcome Decaf.

Several models of Quicksilver controls out there, 2000, 3000, etc.
Need to know model and style. Any Mercury dealer should be able to order an installation manual for you, if you provide them with the model.

Re: Force controls

I have a mid 90's 70HP and it's rigged to Quicksilver 3000. It sounds like you may need to get it adjusted. I had mine recalibrated and my shifting is smooth and quick. It did have a little drag before.I think I have a manual for it. email me at revans1@nc.rr.com if you need to see the instructions. The marina did the calibration for me so all I had to do is mount it.
