Ok, what is the roomer? I went to the Central Texas Boat show last weekend and a salesman told me that Force was going to come back. Anyone else hear this? And if so do you think it will again be the most affordable outboard?

Maybe in third world countries. They'd never meet EPA regulations here. That's why they were discontinued. Mercury is aiming at offering only four-strokes down the road...a decade or so. A lot depends on this Project X motor they developed. They've put a lot of eggs in that basket. It could make or break them.

It seems to me, that if Merc was going to bring out an economy line, it would avoid the Force name at all cost. Maybe bring the Mariner line back to the US, or come up with an entirely different name.

The outboard industry is going to get real interesting again. Merc comes out with a new "ProjectX" motor...Bomby is going to counter with ???????. Then ya' got the sleepers. The ones from across the pond. Never know what those boys will come with next.

Boy, I'd be the luckiest man alive if that happened.....<br />Now, if I could just get them to bring Enron back, my $42K worth of stock would be golden again...
