I have a 1996 force 9.9 that i recently bought. It fires right up, has good compression. I took the thermostat out. it flows lots of water. The block and exhaust cover are barely earm but the head gets hot enough to sizzle with wet fingers. Had the head off and powerhead. Aqll passages are clear. new head and gasket, the old head was warped. Put it all back together, left the thermostat out and the head is still very warm while the block and exhaust cover are much cooler. is it normal for the head to be much warmer than the rest of the block?
Running in a test tank.
Stumped. i don't want to blow the darn thing up.
