I am new to this engine and still learning so bear with me. The other day while out on the water, i was going along just fine when the engine just cut out after running just fine all day and the day before. I opened the lid and there was a lot of excess fuel pooling up in the carb. I figured i fouled the plugs and also flooded it out. I pulled the top spark plug (cleaned it) and held it against the head (bare medal) to see if i had spark and had nothing. Where should i go from here. I drained the carb float, cleaned the plugs, fuel is new, kill switch i checked. It cranks just fine, but not even a sputter. Its probably something dumb, any suggestions? thanks.
