I have a Force 35Hp Model # 357FC6A, the first question is what year is it?, secondly,
I have water in the lower unit(Foot) I have replaced the drain and vent gasket and this did not solve the problem.Could this be a
worn water pump seal? I want to replace it but would like a second opinion.
Thanks for any input.

Your engine is a 86. As for the rest of your question I'm far from being the one to give any advice of this kind but I can say that your lower unit is the same as my 50 and I am going thru the same thing. I do know there are six seals in it and you have already replaced two.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH 120HP.BUT I THINK MY PROBLEM WAS IN THE GASKET FOR THE STAINLESS SCREWS ON THE LOWER UNIT. WHAT I TRIED WAS PRESSURE THE LOWER UNIT WITH 12LBS. OF AIR SUBMERGE IT INTO A BARREL AND WHATCH FOR BUBBLES ;DID NOT NOTICE ANY LEAKS SO I THINK IT WAS THE GASKET ; BUT YOU CAN TRY THIS AND SEE WHERE THE LEAKS ARE GOT THIS INFORMATION FROM THIS SITE GOOD LUCK

The pressurizing technique might work if the leak is bad enough or if it happens to be a cracked housing. The problem with this test is that you are testing for leaks from the inside-out. I would go ahead and change the seals. It's not too tough to do.

------------------
Find the birds & you've found the fish!
