I have a 1990 150 H.P Force outboard. I was cruising on the river today and I felt a jerk and the engine quit. Had to use trolling motor for an hour to get back to the ramp. When I got the boat home I tried turning the prop and it wouldn't turn. I removed the prop and there was a bunch of fishing line stuck on the shaft. I cleared all of the line out, but the prop still turns very rough and the engine won't even try to crank. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drop the lower unit and see if engine cranks. If it does, the prop shaft may be snapped at the drive dog clutch. If it still does not crank, then the powerhead has either thrown a rod or blown out the rings and locked-up.

Re: Force 150 HP prop stuck

Thanks for the reply's. The engine did crank once I removed the lower unit. Now the problem is finding another lower unit that fits my 150. People are advertising on ebay that their 85's and 105's will also fit the force 150. Is this accurate? Thanks again
