Hey guys... anybody here have a force manual that can tell me the idle and WOT timing spec for an 87-88ish 125? Thanks

Re: Force 125 timing specs

My manual says 32 degrees advanced before TDC. Some folks set'em to 30 degrees just to be safe.

With today's fuels, you would do better to set your advance to 28 or 30 at the max. Less chance of melting something.

The timing is set using the starter motor. Make sure your ground your plugs, have the trottle at WOT and don't run the starte too long without letting it cool.

Since these engines have mechanical advance, you really don't have to worry about what the advance, if any is at idle. The main thing to remember is to properly adjust the carbs to the timing rod. The manual has good instruction for this.

You did buy a manual right?

Set your idle speed with the idle stop screw at 750-800 in forward.
