I have a 94 Force 120hp. I noticed when I took the cover off that there was 2 wires not connected to anything. My engine runs good but not sure about the 2 wires. 1 is brown and the other is a tan color. Should they be plugged into each other???

Where do the wires come from?
What are they attached to?

Tan usually for a temp sensor or to the overheat buzzer. Its really hard to say for sure, as there seems to be several versions off wiring harnesses.

Re: Force 120hp wireing

If the wiring follows the marine color code the tan is the temp (solid tan no color stripe) - it runs from the temp sender to the temp gauge.

If the other wire is a solid brown that is usually reserved for the alternator charge light, genrator armature and fuses/switches to pumps. Brown with a yellow stripe is for bilge blowers. Brown with a white stripe is trim sender.

Check your temp gauage, bilge pump, blowers, tirm gauage, etc. Make sure everything is working.
