Force 120 Voltage 1990 #108

Starts slow. New Battery.<br />Voltage fine till 20 minutes on water then 15-16.<br />Slowed down speed and volts went down to 12-13.<br />Sped up the volts went up.<br />Starter motor seems warm, after cool down. Rectifier is a 1997, Ithink due to 369450-1 1997.<br />Any ideas from the pro's

It sounds like a battery or corrosion problem. 15 volts isn't bad, but anything higher should be checked out. The rectifier number looks right but I can't remember right off the top of my head. Thank you for the reply, and to all who have.<br />I am thinking rectifier/regulator. I just moved here and do not know any mechanics. This is a great resource.

I would try a different battery first.<br />The new battery may have a bad or weak cell.<br />Through your car battery in there and see if the voltages are similar, before you start buying new expensive parts.
