I have a Bayliner Capri Cuddy that had a force 125 but the engine was replaced before I bought it. It now has a force 120. Where can I find the serial number and find the year? Also, what does L-drive mean? Any help thank you!

Re: force 120 serial number and year?

L-Drive is kinda a unique package(that was nice wasn't it???????)

It is an inboard/outboard-outboard. The engine (powerhead) is the same as a regular force outboard, and so is the lower unit. The difference is what's in between. There's u-joints, bellows, steering, etc, so the engine stays put, and the lower raises/lowers and turns.

If your engine's a force, and it's inside the boat.....it's an L-Drive.

Model and serial number should be located on a sticker/tag, located on the starboard side of the transom bracket.
