Force 120 Gas Mileage

On a 1996 Force 120, anyone know what type of gas mileage it gets. is there table i can refer too?

I have a 1998 120 on a 19 ft trophy, it averages around 2.8 mpg.

Mileage will vary greatly depending on the boat it is pushing.<br />Consumption will be pretty steady,<br />11-12 gallons per hour at full throttle.<br />7 gallons per hour at 3/4 throttle, assuming the boat is on plane.

Alexanderhb, took mine out a couple weeks ago ,55 gal gas,3 adults ,1 child,gear ect...19 ft trophy .13 1/4 x 17 ss prop,trolled about 30 min, then went to reefs to trout fish.Covered about 70 miles total over weekend,cruse speed about 25 mph. Total use 23.6 gals.Hope this gives you a idea !!

All the boat tests, especially the last 5-7 years, post the mpg. Check out any test from Bass & Walleye. They've always included it as well as optimum cruise range.

On an outer banks trip last season my friend and his wife and I returned home from some 55 miles off the San Diego coast on 14 gallons of fuel at an average ground speed of 18 knts. Which equals around 3.9 mpg. Although, I must also point out that we used a total of 32 gallons for the entire round trip of 87 miles. Which, equals 2.7 mph. overall. One quarter of the 87 miles was probably covered at speeds less then 7 knts. This was using a Bayliner 17 foot Capri with a Force 85hp. 3 adults, 200 lbs gear. 5 knts. wind 3 foot swell 1 foot seas. All down hill the ride home except for 3 knt current working against us. Before we added trim tabs to the boat our mileage would average about 2.0 2.1 for similar trips and conditions. I must say adding trim tabs has defineately been the best investment I've made outside of additional fuel tanks and a 4 bladed compostite prop.
