How about some power company employee with nothing better to do than to put a dead deer in a bucket truck and put it up there. :D

Re: For you deer experts??

Its got the bottom ends of its rear legs missing so my guess is it was dropped by a deer recovery helicoptor. I wonder how they got it down afterwards though.
Ross

Come on guys! I can't believe you have never seen the flying white tail of Llano County! A relatively common specie usually seen in abundance right before opening day.

The latin name is "toomuchbeerus makesmehallucinateus".

Bottom of the leg is sheared off too cleanly. Has to be a hoax. I do know and where this could really happen. There are train tracks and power lines running through a park here in Wisconsin called Devils lake. These are at the base of a cliff. The cliffs are very high and if a deer got scared, it could have fallen off the cliff onto the power lines. Recently there was the story about a moose falling off a cliff on ont a car and you have all seen he pictures of the deer that jumped off the bridge into the Durango.

Thanks for posting this I used it as an example today that you can't believe everything you see. Good work cutting out the deer but it still looks like a cut and paste job.

PFB I did not cut and paste it someone may have. I got this from a friend and the story was that a train hit it at high speed like cotterman said. I still like the idea of raining deer.

flathead - i got your back-

peterfish- prove it. since i have duty today and nothing better to do than stay at work until 0800 tomorrow, i checked out the photo. pasting it to word and blowing it up shows no lines or irregularities. i sharpened the photo and increased brightness and it becomes a real clear pic. all shadows show up and look natural. if it's a fake, someone put a lot of work into it.

how it got there, no clue. must be midwest.

It was in the back of a hunters pickup. On his way back home he fell asleep at the wheel. His truck was now in the ditch doing a roll over.
Deer left the bed of the truck and got caught in the power lines above said ditch.
This is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Looks like one of Santa's help has a workers comp claim this year. :(
Still looks like venison shish kabob.
A different take on "hanging your meat".
This is how we bait for California Condor. :)
A whole new meaning for "spike" buck.
Crispy critter anyone? :p
