What do you wear under a wet suit for spring skiing and knee boarding?

The reason I ask is that the north end of the big muddy is running about 60 degrees and dealing with daily temps in the upper 60's to low 70's right now. The kids are bugging the heck out of me to get out and we broke down and got them some 5 mm full spring wet suits but my oldest boy asked me what the heck we were supposed to wear under them. I am guessing that normal trunks will bunch up to bad and make for an uncomfortable day so I thought that I would ask you all what you would recommend to your kids...

Thanks
Jason

I wear a speedo under my wetsuit. But I'm a competitive swimmer as well so I'm used to it and have plenty just lying around. I've tried the trunks at my non-swimmer friends' requests but they bunched up too much and we uncomfortable. So I bring a pair of regular shorts to put on over my speedo when I'm in the boat as to not make my guests too uncomfortable.

I wear balck boxerbriefs, so I can remove the wesuit and put on my regular trunks without offening.

Of course swim trunks for your kids means knee-length board shorts which are definitely hard to tuck in. I have a couple pair of standard shorter length swim trunks which I wear and aren't bad to get situated under a shortie or full wet suit.

Under my dry suit, sometimes a pair of tighty whities. Unless I am changing in public. A speedo would be ideal - might pick one up...for under wet suit only!

There is a saying among Bobsledders and Skelton racers who wear those thin, skin tight one-piece suits..."skin to win"....nadda!

Thanks for the thoughts on this....

We finally got out kneeboarding for a couple of hours the other day water was 60 degrees with a 67 air temp. That wetsuit made it bearable enough for him to stay in the big muddy for about 2 hours.

Thanks all
