foot trim switch wiring

I just purchased a 40 hp honda tiller and also bought a power trim foot switch.The problem is i had to run the wires through the main harness opening, but now the rubber grommet seal will not go back on due to the added wires.Would sealer in lieu of rubber grommet work? Or trim up the grommet and seat the best i can or? Thanks in advance.

dolsen, If you can get the right size gasket hole punch you can enlarge the hole in grommet just big enough to accomodate the added wires.If not perfect use a little sealer in addition.
