Fold ladder replacement

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 92 mariah MX19. The fold ladder that it came with is only a two step. I'd like to upgrade to longer one. I don't care if it's a fold or telescope. But my problem is, the one I have now is 16" overall width, 14 3/4" center to center. Screw layout is (2) screws on each side, total of 4. And they are about 2 inches on center. All the ladders I have found are much more narrow than this, or the one I did find is a bit wider. I was wanting to reuse the mounting holes if possible.

Could anyone please point me in the direction to find a direct replacement as far as width and mounting holes, or enlighten me on how to fill the old holes and mount a new ladder? Sorry I'm pretty new to the boat world if you couldn't tell.

Thanks everyone

Got a pic? You may need to look for the same vintage ladder to use the same mounting screws

I spent a month looking for an old Garelick 3 step version of the 2-step that was on my boat.

I'll try and take more tomorrow, I took these real quick just for my reference while I was look for replacements.

1st pic is stowed position at 16 inches (I have a little more room to spare)

2nd pic is mounting screws 2 inches on center

3rd is the ladder Gudgeon lengths at about 7 inches

4th is center to center of 4 3/4. And overall width of 16 inches.

Maybe I should take a look on ebay?

If your buying one and not building it, it seems like west marine has a bigger selection on hand than anyone else here. Can you tow your boat to one and see if anything has that made for it look and feel. Next step up is a custom build Or your winging it online. Where are you located. I do a little tube bending and fabrication.

I am located in western Indiana. I thought about fabbing my own but the only benders I have access to are for conduit ( I'm an electrician). I'm worried it will kink with the dies and the way the shoe fits. Maybe a local boat shop would be best to look. Roughly of course, qhat would it cost for a guy like you to fab me one like the one I have only a 3 or 4 step and ship it? Of course I'm just getting my feelers out, im not holding you to anything.

I bought a nice under deck ladder for my pontoon, won't work for me because the trailer I rent to take it out has the cross member on the front of the deck. frustration.

Choose a ladder, Make a bracket to fit the old holes, and attach the new ladder to that bracket.
