I've seen swing/fold away kits for trailers that won't fit in the garage, but my Ranger trailer tongue measures 4" x 4" and I can't find anyone that makes one for that size. 3 x 3; 3 x 4; 3 x 5 but no 4 x 4. Can anybody help me?

Welcome to iboats.

The only place I have ever seen a 4x4 swing tongue, was at a Ranger dealer.
Their web site says " our custom swing tongue".
They might sell you one.
But likely only if they install it.
Looks like it only cuts off 24" of trailer length.

I'd check with a local trailer dealer, a decent one could rig something up custom for you if you are not able to weld one up yourself.

Why not contact your local weld shop or metal fabrication shop. I am quite sure the trailer mfg is not going to be cheap. The easiest method was a sleeve method where you cut off a length of you trailer tongue and then have made a sleeve that fits inside the hollow tongue and remaining trailer tongue. Slip it together when needed and remove when in storage. If the fit is snug then hitch pins could be used, other wise a couple 1/2" or 5/8" bolts is all that would be needed. Any decent fab shop should have no difficulty in making you a sleeve.
