Anyone have any insight on fogging a fuel injected engine? I am familiar with carburator models.

I am trying to fog my 1997 Yamaha 225 Salt Water Series II engine.

Thanks, Greg

Re: fogging Yamaha 225 EFI

I have a 2001 SS Yamaha 200. I fogged it by removing the plastic air intake cover and while the motor was running sprayed fogging spray into the intakes. Once done also sprayed a little into the cylinder bore thur the spark plug hole. ;)

I did not spray in the carb with my force, I think it is more important to get it in the cyl through the spark plug holes. Then turn the flywheel clockwise a few turns and button it up.

It is very important to run motor and fog it while running. You want to oil up the needle bearings and crank for the winter. Then pull the plugs and spray the upper side of the cylinders with your fogging oil. Make sure you stabilize you fuel first and drain the vapor sep. tank as the final step.
