I have a 1990 Johnson motorand would like to know how you go about fogging the motor when it is time to store the motor at the end of the season. Also how would I drain the water out of the motor. I have the manual for this Johnson and does not tell you about these procedures.

Re: Fogging the engine

Mike, I appreciate the information that you gave me and I have downloaded the info from the web site. Where I keep my boat, there is only one marina on the lake and he resents it if you ask him questions. Littwinne

If the 1990 johnson doesn't have one there is a fogger port conversion available through OMC dealers for about 10 dollars. Installs in about 10 minutes. Makes fogging a whole lot easier and you can be sure you got all of the cylinders this way.

You don't have to worry about draining water as long as you store engine with the lowerunit all the way down.

c/6

Hooty
