I would like to fog it for storage as it will be maybe next year before i fix it. i know i can take plugs out and spray in cylinders but can i do the same for bottom end without running it. any procedures for this? thanks alot

Re: fogging outboard

You need to run the motor on the muffs or in the water to fog it through the intakes to coat all bearings and internal surfaces. Should have been done before dry storage. Maybe you can run a hose with muffs up to boat on storage rack and do it with out removal. Good Luck!

well i know that would be better but like i said it isnt running..it needs carb rebuild and fuel pump rebuild, along with new lines. So its not running. theres no other way to do this?

You can fog directly into intakes and spark plug holes, maybe just turn motor over with the starter a few times to "spread" oil around...should be fine. Good Luck

Re: fogging outboard

You should be able to fog it adequately by cranking it with the starter motor. Just be sure you don't burn out the starter. 30 seconds cranking, 5 minutes rest. (10% duty cycle)

hope it helps
