Flywheel nut torque.

67' Johnson 9.5 horse.

According to the Clymer manual I have, I either torque it to 40-45 ft-lbs, or 100.

But, the thing is, I can't tell which one it is.

Any help?

I've alway heard 40-50 so that's what I go for. Seems like at 100 you would be stripping bolts or even worse the crankshaft.
