Hello, a few years ago I bought this boat and trailer from a friend for $100, was in this condition. They used it as a fighting boat but it’s not set up the best as is was originally a runabout. I’m not sure if it’s worth converting, or just using as is or selling. Bench configuration is not greatest for tiller, boat seats etc. Any experiences out there with something similar? I hear the Flying D and the FD were essentially the same hull. It’s a very heavy duty boat.

Do you have the bow cover? If not they are next to impossible to find. You can make the seats more useable by making cushions that fit inside those rails. All you need is 1/2" plywood some foam from a craft store and canvas. Staple the fabric over the foam and to the plywood. The Flying D and the FD are the same hull, the flying D has different seats and the bow cover.
