I was talking about fly fishing a local pond for cats, but the water is pretty much zero visibility. waste of time? any pros or cons? they're all pretty small...8-12 inches, maybe 14 inches tops. guy said use royal wolf and olive green wooley buggers. I've got both, but my buddy is always talking about keeping your line clean, etc,,,

Not a problem, use that shooting head. It'll sink pretty fast so just let it. Try that Jay Fair Olive Leach Wooly Bugger or maybe something brown with some perch in it.

Oh yeah, I'm thinking about going over to Berryessa early Saturday morning. If I decided to, do you want to go?

NGT, my downrigger parts didn't show up yesterday so I won't be going to Berryessa tomorrow. I may just go buy a new Cannon and dump this Scotty.

Sorry, just saw this. I would have been up for it as long as we were back by the evening. Sorry I took so long to respond. I was out on Sonoma on wednesday and in Tiburon thursday. Thanks for the invite!!!! :D and thanks for the advice. heading out to give it a shot now.

Gotta pick up those line cleaner wipes first.

I went to West Marine at noon and they were out of Electric Cannons so I got another Scotty. I may get out this weekend but I won't know for sure until later this evening. I'll call you if things change. Next weekend might be better. The fishing at Berryessa isn't all that great right now anyway. October should be better.

Sounds good, let me know. I have to be back in Rohnert Park Saturday by about 7pm for a birthday party, but otherwise I have nothing planned.

Be at my house at 5:00 am. Sorry for the short notice but I just got the rigger dialed in. Berryessa next weekend for planning purposes.
