I also had a very rosty trailer, I did use it until it did fell apart and did buy a new one. Wenn using in Salwtater you can see how much corrosion can waste your money. Rost cant be removed inside the frame of a trailer, it does not make a difference if you can see the rost or if its covered with paint. It does weaken the frame anyway and its not worth the work and dust and angry neigbourhood from angelgrinding Rost.

How could I make a good flushsystem flushing out the trailerframe with freshwater. It would be a good idea, clip one hose on the tap, let water running for a few minute flashing out al salt crystals and preventing it from rosting.
How should i make it ? with proper Plumbingpipes or gardenhose ? has anyone done that.
I also would think about using an Older Trailer taking the Boat from the house to the Boatrampt and keep a good one for longer trips on roads.

The best suggestion I can make is to get an aluminum I-beam constructed trailer.

The 2 trailer idea sounds good at first, but how are you going to transfer the boat from one trailer to the other, without putting the good trailer into the saltwater?

Does anyone make a polycarbonate trailer? :)

I agree with the aluminum trailer suggestion, but even that should be washed down after every salt water use.

If you buy a closed frame galvanized trailer and there are no openings to direct a garden hose into, you can always cut open a few flush holes with a hole saw.

Two trailers is too much hassle. Nobody else has to do this. Just get one good one and flush it after each use.

Rinse it with hot water too, if you have a laundry sink close by (or at the car wash), and it will last forever.

Hot water removes the salt better than a pressure washer, that's how I wash my boat and trailer, and they continue to look "like new".
