I have my lower unit off and I want to run fresh water thru the cooling system, on another forum a gentleman told me to run a hose thru it. In order to do that do i need a special attachment. And how so I so that. Should I just run a hose thru the thermostat and water tube from under exhaust housing? Thanks

Dont use too much pressure from that hose. You'll have water inside the crankcase.
Keep the motor vertical. Dont tip it up when you have the hose hooked up.

If it were me, I'd put the lower end back on and put the Muffs on that, or stick it in a Barell of water.

Yea I will try and use the lowest pressure I can. Maybe i can get so e kind of hose attachment to get it to go thru the water tube but it is really narrow
