Flushing mercruiser while in water

Hi folks
I have an I/O and we usually have the boat at a high and dry where it is flushed after each use.

We are staying at a rental for a week where the boat is docked in the water 24 hrs. Should I be flushing the engine after each day? Or is it ok for this one week? We bring the boat back to our high and dry in a day or 2 where I can fully flush with fresh water.

Thanks

Agree, You be fine for longer term. Sounds like you take good care of it

Edit, BTW if your only giving it a quick flush your not getting all the salt out of the block

Ok. I'm not flushing it at all while we are here at the rental (only 1 week total), but I will when I get back to our high and dry on saturday.

I just put new impeller, risers and exhaust manifolds in last year.

I was also concerned about this with my previous boat, rented a beach house for a week and kept it on a mooring, once I got it home I let the motor run on the muffs and watched the brown dirty water come out of the engine, then I washed the boat completely down....

Mercruiser manifolds and risers last 8+ years in saltwater, without any flushing. Blocks last 20+ years w/o flushing. A week is inconsequential.
