My Johnson 150 is too big to stick it in a trash can with vinegar in it. Plus I'd have to somehow jack the boat up in the air. Isn't there an attachment you can put on the hose going into the muffs, that you could fill with vinegar and let that cycle through? If not, there is an invention waiting to happen.

What makes you think you have any scale? Why would vinegar dissolve it?

I would think it would take a lot of vinegar, and some way to recycle it thru the motor. A large garbage can or large trash bag would likely work.

a large 55 gallon garbage can will fit when you pull the prop off. the motor stays on the boat.

Was that OB heavily used on saltwater, poorly flushed afterwords, that's not religiously, lived moored indefinitely ? About Saltaway, would have been much better to show the internal water paths in crankcase before and after the applicatioin of this product. Gaskets doesn't say much as they don't acquire that much salt on them as opossed to internal water paths while OB is flushed as usual.

Happy Boating
