Anyone ever used a "Flush Muffler"? They sell them at Overtons and here is what they have to say about them:

"A must for all outboards, Flush Muffler creates the proper back pressure to ensure that your outboard cooling system is completely and properly flushed. Flush Muffler also silences your outboard, so neighbors are not disturbed. Meets noise ordinances and OSHA requirements for noise pollution. Works on outboards 50 hp and up."

It's a device you attach to the end of the prop and if its true about what they say about proper flushing and decreasing noise I will probably get one. Just wanted to know if any of you have ever tried one or what your thought are on this product.

Re: Flush Muffler

Never used one, but I do understand they work and also create backpressure on the exhaust, which is good. The only thing I could find on this site is this discussion:

web page
