Fluid leak on 1984 Mariner external hydraulic pump unit.

Ok I have a leak from a 1/16" hole in my lower valve body of a 1984 Mariner tilt & trim unit.

I have replaced both sets of O-ring on both sides of the plate. The unit is still leaking out the hole.

I took the reverse lock out knob out to make sure it was moving in and out of the chamber.

I also removed the plug from the other side and the springs and ball bearings were all good and seated in the valve correctly.

My only suspicion is that maybe the o-ring at the end of the pistion is bad.

Anyone have this same problem or a solution to this leakage.
