has anyone made their own submersible fihing lights? if so, can you pass on your idea? thanks.

Commom enough over here to make or purchase your own. All you need is a 12v bulb, pole and wire with aligator clips.<br />Set up a 12v bulb inside some glass or clear plastic container that can be waterproofed, secure this to the end of a pole that you can easily carry around and attach the clips to a 12v battery. I use a 12v house alarm battery which is light to carry and easy to recharge.<br />Otherwise we also utilise "tilley" lamps (kerosene) which give out about 500 candle power and light up a huge area, but are a bit cumbersome to carry.<br />Mind you all our flounder are speared in less than 12" of water.<br />Ross
