I posted a thread some time ago about fishing with spider wire. I really like the spider wire due to its castability and absolutly no memory it seems I rarely get the old birds nest with this stuff but I was concerned about fish seeing it. Well a few replies were to tie a Florocarbon or mono leader to the end of the spider wire. I am not sure which knot works best for tying these two together. One suggestion was to use a swivel and though a good suggestion and works well the swivel continuously get tangled in my rod eyes and I think it is harder to cast if I don't reel the lure close to the rod tip.
any suggestions..

I use floro leaders on several poles. I fish clear water , so long casts help out. I tie a seaguar knot and it casts right through the rod eyes. Simple knot , but don't know how it will work on spider , never tried it. I use 8lb floro with 8 lb braid.

as he said, he was using 60lb main line and 30lb leader to show-up well...personally, I tie the blood knot he talks of..I've never had one come apart...
