flooded hull :(

Renken 16 ft. Flooded hull. Was told I need to tear up deck and soaked insulation because it will never dry out and the water weight will slow the boat. Is this true or is there another option??? Thanks!

tracyclay_d<br />That foam under the deck when water soaked is verry heavy. If you can get it out without breaking it up and put it on its edge in the sunshine it will dry after a week or so. This happened to a boat my brother has, but he was in a rush to get it out and really distried the foam. Know he wishes he had taken moore time getting it out! As far as I know taking it out is the only way to dry it, maybe someone here will have another idea!<br /><br />Richard
