I have a 19985 Seadoo GS. and my engine was seize. so i put alot of WB40 and oil and gas into the cylinder and waited 2 days. and i remove the cover on the flywheel. i turn it. and after few try. i actualy got the damm engine to turn.. but the problem is now. that my sparkplugs get no spark... i change the spark plug and still no spark.

Someone told me that the Computer Module is No good no more seens it touch water. but i look at it. it looks like its waterproof.. can it be anything els. if its the coil how do i check it.

what should i check ???

everything in jetski is dry. the only thiing that is not the is the engine of the engine. i lubrigating it with oil little big of start fluid. so the will not rush the engine and seize up again. besize that everything is dry

you must get all the water out of the engine or it will be ruined,, you have to open the coil box to see if water is inside it,, follow the spark plug wires to the black box and push in the clips to get the top off .

can the computer Module be damage. i look at the module and it seem like its watertigth. the engine Turn . doest it mean that the computer is still working???

Re: Flip My Seadoo. NOW NO Spark on SparkPLUG

they don't usually have issues with water,, you can pull the big wire harness plugs where they go in the computer and spray them with silicon to get any moisture out then plug them back in but the coil box will fill with water and kill the spark so find it and clean it out

I think we need to start at the top.
1) We need more information.
2) Try and take the time to check your spelling and grammar on the posts. It is distracting.

1) What exactly happened you your ski? Did you flip it, sink it, etc.

2) What was done afterwards? If it was flipped did you follow the directions on the hull for righting the boat? Were the spark plugs removed and water gotten out of the cylinders? Was there any lubricant applied to the cylinders?

3) Was the engine actually siezed or was the battery low and there water in the cylinders?

From there we can go somewhere and help you.

Just an FYI if the engine was actually siezed and you had to use a breaker bar or wrench etc to get it to turn over... More than likely the piston, rings, cylinder bore are shot now and the thing is not going to run well regardless of spark or not.

If the engine will turn over freely with the battery then do a compression test to see if the top end is any good. If you can get good compression 125-150 plus then you might be able to save it. However if the engine was seized b/c water sat in it for a long period of time more than likely the bottom end is shot b/c the water will leak into the crank case and rust the bearings and the crank and it will only be a matter of time before the thing CATO's

So first step...
Get all of the water out of the ski. Open the hull up get it out in the sun and warmth. Open the electrical boxes (front and back if you have 2) drain water and dry them out good. Open the stator box (front of motor) and get the water out let it dry.

Get everything dry! Then we can go from there

It basicly Sink

2) What was done afterwards? If it was flipped did you follow the directions on the hull for righting the boat? Were the spark plugs removed and water gotten out of the cylinders? Was there any lubricant applied to the cylinders?
Spark plug was remove and most water was remove out of the cylinders. there where no lubrication apply to the cylinder after the water was remove. Engine was not touch for about 3 to 5 months after the water was remove.

3) Was the engine actually siezed or was the battery low and there water in the cylinders? after the 3 or 5 months of storage i try to start the engine on a full change battery but will not crank. the starter broke because of trying to crank the engine so many times. i had to replace the starter . after a few days the starter arrive, install it. and try again. Still no Crank from the engine. I added 10W30 Oil and WB30 lubrication into the cylinder and let it sat for 2 days to lubricate and remove rust. Still NO Crank from the engine. I force crank it by turning the Flywheel a few try. it work. i heard rust breaking from the inside. but after a few try the piston was actually moving freely with no problem.

I Crank and Crank the engine to remove the majority of the oil i added into the engine, but some oil still remain inside the engine to keep what ever rush that may happen again.

HERE WE GO

I don't think you are going to be very far with this engine. Unless you are headed for a a rebuilt or replace it with an SBT motor. If you heard rust (or rush as you type) coming loose from the cylinder walls then your cylinders are shot and this motor even if you get it running is going to KATO very very soon.

I would suspect that the reason that the engine is cranking and cranking and not starting is b/c you have little to NO compression. The rust or (rush) was probably pieces of your piston rings breaking off.

An engine needs 3 things to run... 1) Fuel 2) Spark (or ignition) 3) Compression and I think that you are missing compression.

If you had lubricated the engine after the sinking it and then got it running to burn off the water in the crankcase, instead of just putting it away full of water then you would have a good running ski. Seadoo's imo are hard to break if you keep up with the PM's.

p.s. It is a two stroke motor so you are never going to get the oil out of the cylinder the cylinders are lubricated with oil in the fuel!

with oil sitting on the buttom of the engine. will it be any problem?
Only if i get it to run!!!!!!

You need to test the wires from your stator to see if you are getting power.IF i were you i would tear the top end out and fix it.You should be able to fix it for a few hundred bucks and then you will know that its good to go.IF you continue to ride it you could cause crank damage or other damage that may cost over 1000 easily.

Oil in the bottom wont hurt it if you get it to run,it will smoke and run poor from to much oil...

You are not listening to the bigger picture my friend. Listen again and listen to what the guy above said as well....

If you heard rust coming apart in the cylinders which I am sure you did since it was let set full of water then the top end is junk... it needs rebuilt. The cylinders and or rings and pistons are going to be shot... Most likely the crank is already shot too from rust and corrosion.

Did you check the compression yet? and what did you get if you did?

This motor needs a rebuild... if and when you get it running it will not run for long... Where are you located? Do you have any shops nearby?

I want to fix this jetski. but as of rigth now the main project iam focusing on is my boat. i just wanted to fix the jetski after i finish this boat project... iam just getting idea of what could be the problem and what could i do to fix this problem. and what could happen if i run the engine the way it is...

Find a good pwc mechanic in your area and let him look at it. It will be well worth the money. Or sell the thing and start over with a running ski.

You left water set in your cylinders and now you need a new top end if not a whole new / rebuilt motor.
and what could i do to fix this problem.
Get the top end rebuilt or get a rebuilt complete engine.
and what could happen if i run the engine the way it is...
It won't run long and you will damage whatever good parts you have left in the engine (i.e. cases, cranks, rods etc)

Here is what you need to do before you turn another wrench on the ski. If the engine turns over freely:
1) Do a compression test... this will give us a good idea whats going on inside the motor...
2) Take the head off of the motor and inspect the piston, and cylinders and go from there...

Submit pics if you can

i did a compression test . there both even. i think my compression test tool is not working so good. the compression rate is 90psi on my mr2 or my truck. and even 90psi on the jetski. weird

ok guys this is what i have done so far..

I purchase a 1998 GSX Seaddoo. the electrical box that send spark to the engine was damage on my GS. so i switch it with the GSX and i have spark. the ENGINE STARTS. I REMOVE ALL THE OIL FROM THE BUTTOM OF THE ENGINE..

NOW THE PROBLEM:

The engine only start when i use starting FLUId into the carburator.

I have check the Fuel line and its not PLUG. its working properly.. i even blow air and suck fuel out of the fuel line

I have check the Fuel line that goes to the carburator itself. there is TWO.

BOTH is not having any kind of suction. no FLOW of Fuel. NO SUCKING.. NOTHING. i think that is the only problem with the jetski. i need fuel to the Carb..

I'm Assuming that NO VACCUM .. NO FUEL..
HOW can i find out the problem with the vaccum.

Also there is another hose that is on the top of the carb.
i remove it and put my finger on it. it has vaccum. but i dont know how much vaccum does it need to make the carb work
DONT KNOW WHAT TODO.. ANY ADvice
