The vent tubes that attach to my flame arrestor on my AQ260, (sbc 350, w/qjet) are missing.

I cannot seem to find the tubes alone, only the entire flame arrestor. Has anyone seen just the tube fittings for sale???

Thanks.

Ayuh,... They're just little pieces of vinyl tubing,...
About any Hardware Store should have something that'll work...

If the HW store doesn't have anything, check out your local auto parts store, they have hords of hose/tube.

I had a similar problem while working on our Durango, 2 little pieces of breather tube were cracked and the dealer wanted $100 for the "assembly" The local auto parts store had silicone hose that fit the bill nicely. $7/foot, but it worked perfect.

Thanks for the responses. Maybe I've been overthinking this. I'll go up to Napa and see what they've got laying around.

Just to verify, I'm talking about the nipples that the vent hoses attaches to, not the hose itself. They all look like they are aluminum or metal of some sort.

Ayuh,... On the valve cover end, ya need a PCV valve type fitting, without the valve inside...

For the flame arrester end, Merc uses a simple aluminum strap across the arrester, of a width that snuggly fits inside the tubing to hold the ends near the arrester...

Thanks, that makes sense. However, I wouldn't want anyone to mistake my motor for a merc, so I ordered the parts Picklenjim linked, thanks jim, just what I was looking for.:D

Plus spending $45 dollars for the parts feels like I'm buying OEM Volvo parts.:rolleyes:
