Re: fixing my skiff

many questions,if you are gonna paddle continue reading.
if your gonna use gas motor, u probably wanna go with something that wont take all sumer b4 u can go get it wet..

had a simalar, wood boat 8ft, dinked the hull on the columbia river when i was shoring it...
3 yrs later...
the wood rotted where it was leaking and
sanded and discoverd many places of rotting sheets of wood and the 'beams' near transom was rotted...

to make a long story short,I used the ultimate tool
Sears craftsman Chain saw and I waved it a few times over my project and walaa,no boat...

bought anoter boat with less problems(HA),25.00$ fiberglass boat with 19 holes in it,9 months later and close to 300.00 + blood,sweat,3 seasons later (I am a Fiberglass expert now) its pretty good,be shure to tighten down the motor good & tie a line/chain/cable to motor from boat for good measure,I learned the hard way to tie down a motor.
2 broken ribs later (did not lose motor)
no one told me about that...

keep it simple and it will work & float.
