I have an old Martin and just got the ingition coils. Man do they look better then the ones that crumbled out of my magneto. Anyway, the old coils connected to plug wires with a clip while inside the new coil is a little post. What is the easiest way to attach coil and wire? Do I try to snip that nipple off and insert into post? Thanks, Scott

Yes. Try to make sure the needle goes into the center (wire core) of the coil. Best to check it with a multimeter when you get it all put back together, but you shouldn't have any trouble. Umpteen tons of coils were made that way.

F R. Thanks for that. I really need to get a meter and learn how to use it.
