I am looking at a 2003 Fishmaster CC w/225 Suzuki setup w/Jackplate.
The boat only has approx 100 hours on it and looks real clean. I have been around and owned boats all my life but have questions I hope someone can answer.
1) 2003 model- is this Dynasty mold or Kenner?
2) I have heard of misc problems with this boat , transom especially, but also heard they were older models - anyone know anything?
3)overall opinions on this boat model (outside of the company that sold em - Travis)

Thanks - Cheers

Re: Fishmaster Boats

I have a Fishmaster 17' alum built for Travis Boating Center (Dallas-Austin, TX.).....called a "Travis Edition" by Rivertrail Boats in Ark.

From what you said, Travis must go out to OEM's with a wish list for a special (custom) boat that has something none others have and maybe that is one of their marketing tools.

If you look at mine and at the boat Rivertrail makes, they're basically the same boat; but with subtle differences.

Maybe the one your looking at is the same thing (Travis orders a modified OEM boat to be built by them) and it may be hard to get an answer to your question.

A possibility is to callup the OEM's you mentioned and ask if they built special boats for Travis. Maybe you will get your answer there.

Re: Fishmaster Boats

I have a 2004 24' Fishmaster bay boat. It has a 4 stroke 250 Suzuki out board. I have had it since March 2009. It has been a great boat. I was sceptical about the Suzuki motor but it has purred like a kitten since I had and it gets great fule consumption. The boat has a transome save installed when I got it. It has been a good boat so far.

A couple weeks ago I was trailering the boat to the water and one of the rear hatches that also has the jumpe seat came unlatched caught wind and blew off. It tore clean of at the hinge. I did not know it until I stopped to get gas. @!#!@#!@#!.

Well in my journey with the repair shop and insurnace agent I have found out that my boat was built by Polar Dynasty, sold by TRavis Marines up until 2005. In 2005 TRacker Marine bought the Fishmaster brand and took over warrenties ( I am not 100% sure on that one). If anyone has body parts for this boat let me know. I need a starboard hatch assembly. I have part numbers if it helps. (bennie.benson@gmail.com)

If you plan on finding parts for a fishmaster boat you might want to consider this is the boat buy. No longer sold but GREAT value. I would have thought more about the Fishmaster brand if I knew what I know now. I would rather have spent more for a establishe name like Skeeter, Mako, Champion, etc. But there again I got three times the boat for half the price.
