Is there nobody from the Hernando co.Fla. area on this fourm. i am new to this flats fishing stuff and don't quite now how to find the fish out there. also i just can't get the hang of the jig. if i can't see the lure that i am useing i have'nt been able to get fish to strike.( That includes all sinking lures except the D.O.A. shrimp.) I don't have a problem with the top waters at all. i want to catch flounder and as far as i know they don't hit floaters. not that i can find them anyway. The reds and trout are there i just don't have a clue where to find them when they are not in the canals. i have always fished from shore. need some help...
thanks , derwood

Re: fishing in Fla.

I'm from Delaware, but if I were you , I would go to www.dogpile.com, and do a search on "Florida fishing forum".

It should give you some excellent sites to search.

Yea, the "jig thing" is very hard to explain. I would make friends of some "locals", and offer to take them fishing for free if they show you some tips.

Good luck!
