Fishing Footwear

This is kind of a dumb question. As long as the water is not solid, I fish. Over and above Goretex lined shoes, what do all you other northern residents do to keep your feet warm, when out on the water?

Hmmmmm..Since I fish in the buff I guess footwear doesn't mean anything remember I only buff it only when I am by myself, only cause i don't want to embarrass my friends if ya know what i mean...<br /><br />Lets see if had to choose footwear it would my muskie slippers so as to match those muskie boxers....Heck women do it to..Bring my better half and she primps for an hour..<br /><br />Hope this helps ya out..I can see that this thread is about to take a plunge into unknow zones..Hope the mods will be fair on this..Remember guys they are watching..lol

I don't know about the buff, but if you wear them muskie shorts, that I just have a pic of , then it's no wonder you don't catch anything.<br />They get scared and run off.

Browning Kangaroo Featherweights.<br /><br />Gore-Tex and thick cotton socks. Never cold feet, never hot feet. Only weigh about 2lb. 4oz.<br /><br />I suspect that the Cabelas Kangaroo Uplands would do as well. They weigh almost a pound more but cost about a hundred bux less.

I'm scared. Truely scared SBN / GF ... I don't know.. <br /><br />I think MY has the best set-up (*)(*) ... that would be a 'joy ride' in barlow's book.. Not necessarily fishin' - tho it would start out that way. <br /><br />Irish Setters (Red Wing) Wingshooter 847 9" - Goretex, 400gram thinsulate-ultra, prairie sole. Or the 853 chukka - Gortex, un-insulated, prairie sole.<br /><br />Ditto on JB's heavy cotton socks .. Wigwam-Wolf .. really all I wear year 'round.<br /><br />keep boots slightly loose for circulation (warmth) and comfort in the boat... toes and heal shouldn't be crowded at all. <br /><br />still like MY's set-up

when its warm, which it normally always is here is south carolina, i just go barefoot at all times. during the winter though i wear wool socks with my insulated duck boots
