:) Fishing for stripers and blues have been excellent this week!!!! A lot of stripers along the rocky shoreline and the blues are just off shore!!! we are catching an average of 30 fish in a 4hr. trip just to get one or two over the 28"legal limit!!!!

Flyroding for stripers is excellent also!!! Hooked up a dozen fish in an hour, but nothing to brag about, the biggest was 24"!!!!

Had a haddock and cod trip the other day!!!! Cod fishing was slow with only 8 fish boated!!! the haddock fishing was better with 13 fish boated!!! The dogfish do know how to ruin a trip, plenty of dogs and when they show up it's not just a couple, it's hundreds of em!!! They are like piranhas!!!! ;)

Re: Fishing Cape Ann

Same on the cape, only one 43 inch striper, the rest all around 30 inch and under.Later on the flats outside Bass river we caught about 40 fluke, most of them 15 and 16 inches. The minimum size is 17 for recreational and 14 for commercial. Most fish we caught swallowed the hooks and had to be returned to become crab food. Then on the last night fishing off Marconi beach my B.I.L.caught a 42 pounder on a pink lure,go figure that one.But it seems that the big cows are starting to arrive.
