Can someone tell me where to find the hin and year made. New to pontoons and in need of education.

On or close to the rear of the starboard (right) log. maybe up on the decking somewhere but in that neighborhood.

The year is the first two DIGITS in the HID. It should be something like SYL88XXXXXXXXX, that would be an 88 model.

If not on the log. then maybe this;
[h=3]Catamarans and pontoon boats may have the HIN on the rear crossbeam within one foot of the starboard hull attachment.[/h]

The year of the hull is the last two digits of the long serial number.

Bamaman is right, I knew it was one end or the other, on my pontoon it is a riveted plate on the railing on the rear deck where the gas tank goes. I can't see that one because of a battery box. On the Sea Nymph it is SEAXXXXXX83 so I would assume the pontoon is the same.
