My 1989 OMC manual covers V-4 through V-8 and they are all loopers, if that is any help.

correction: 120-300 Hp is covered, the V-4 120 appears to be 90 deg. The manual is titled "CE" Loop V service manual.

A 1990 is a cross flow. I believe the 60 degree carb motors started in 1995 and the FFIs in 1999.

Good luck!

60 degree V-4 loopers? To the best of my recollection, 1995. I had a '96 115. Great motor, but it had the infamous "bubble" under the rectifier/regulator problem, which they corrected on later models. To identify the newer powerhead, look for a 1/4" O.D. black rubber tube running from under the flywheel on the starboard side of the block, down to a fitting under the bottom cylinder (#3). This bleeds the air, which allowed the R/R to overheat and fail.

Oops, sorry. Dhadley already correctly answered your question. By the way, those old crossflows were real gas hogs.
